1.
If I could be anything,
I think I would be the seams of red silk dresses.
Stable.
Unbreaking.
Consistent.
2.
The sky must be awfully lonely.
Many are pleased by its blue.
When the earth caves in and falls to its fiery end,
Who will be there for the sky when the end arrives?
3.
A bear plays the acoustic guitar.
I am the honey watching silently from across,
Awaiting attack, a waiting bee.
There is steadiness in the patience of
Treading death on its tail.
4.
There is love in leaking ceilings
And in pools of mold spores underneath abandoned couches.
Love sings in the static of flickering light bulbs
Hanging from wires. It sits in the 5’9 stains in
Beige-turned-brown carpet.
There was once love here.
Now lies death.
